København

Ok, everyone who i knew, has been there.. so i thought maybe i will also go see this place. Its pretty good. better and bigger than the two "towns" that i have seen.. Malmo and lund. C always used to call me, and I would say next time maybe, for everything. I think she had finally given up calling me, and since i also wanted to do something with her, I decided to goto CPH. Actually C and E were planning to go there anyway. E was going home to see her parents for some days, and C wanted to go along with her to be with her. So we bought 200 SEK tickets from here, and off we went. E works at a coffee shop and she provided us with some free burgers...ahaaaa.. pork.. it really tastes good. I am sorry that a big part of the world's community doesn't eat it. They don't drink too. And you should hear the reasons they tell me about drinking. They tell me that one will not be oneself when one is drunk, I don't know where or who gave them these ideas. I told three guys that it is because of the religion that they don't drink, and not to give all these bull shit ideas. They tell me smoking is ok, but drinking is not.. i believe its all some stupid ideas.
Anyway we went to Copenhagen central station, it was quite old, and C was as always happy, and was having a lot of fun. E was our guide since she was good. I was really impressed by her skills to read a map, which i would realize as not so easy if one doesn't know where you are on the map to begin with. But once you know where you are on the map, its quite easy. So off we went, into the city centre. The main streets are bigger, wider than the widest in Bangalore. C doesn't really pronounce Bangalore properly, and i haven't really told her its bengaluru now. We saw some incan-type looking guys playing the flute and guitar and all, selling CDs with their music for i think 25kr. 1 Danish Krona = 0.738 SEK, and 1 SEK= around 7 INR. I went on, looking at the shops and all. We went to some park-cum-old building place, and it also had a jewish museum, which had a pretty big entry fee.. I really admired the way these girls talk to people. Its quite nice how they explain stuff about students, money and maybe next time since we are here for quite sometime... E then saw some guy running.. jogging actually... they do that all the time of the day. Back home, i have seen uncles and aunties doing all these wierd looking exercises in the early morning and evenings, but these people, they workout whenever there is daylight. Maybe its the weather. She started running behind this guy with her camera, i dont know whether she clicked photos or not, but she stopped at the other side of the bridge. One more thing is that people, i mean almost everyone, is listening to some music(i think) always. Everyone has a funky mobile phone and their ear phones plugged in. reminds me of BTS buses with nokia headsets and our FM radio jockeys. So the point is, unless u practically fall on them from behind, they can't hear u running with them.
Then as usual, i with my "funny indian accent" was trying to explain something to C, who in turn would shower me "sorri, what waz that?", "oh.sorri". E found some place where there was a piano. So some background check. I have come to believe now that most french girls learn how to play something, and the piano is something which most of them play. It so happens that C is a very good player( i had just heard about this, but indeed it turned out to be true). E, tells C that she should check out this place with the piano,(both are jazz fans), and i don't know what that is.. it supposedly has something to do with improvization and stories which i can't believe one can express in those songs without words. So off we go, me falling behind, not knowing whats happening. We go into this old place, which looks like a shop where one repairs piano's. E is checking out stuff, saying, "wow, nice place.., C maybe you should try playing" .... " Noo, I am not sure...."... and then comes this very old guy from some inner room, and says "hello!".. And the E says "Hi, we were just passing by and thought this shop was really nice and all, and we heard the muzik, which was great... and so we thought we will just take a look, i hope you don't mind".. "no no, its ok... but this is my home!", and both C and E start "Oh! really!, we are so sorry.. we didn't know.. Oh!, we are sooo sorry", ( i am standing like a statue near the open door)," Oh, its ok... i don't mind, can you please close the door", finally i say something "ya sure, sorry."
"C here plays very well"..
"No, i don't really",
"Oh does she.. well, you must play something.. "
"ya C, come on.. you can play"
and then she sits down and starts playing. I don't know what its called, but it did sound quite good.. her hands were moving so elegantly, she was quite good. I will try to add a link to the video which i took when i was doing nothing else.
the old man gets quite impressed by the taste of these two girls, and is happy that he has someone to talk to, tells us we should listen to some great jazz music and plays some...( i still am looking dumb, there are several clocks hanging here and there), we listen. It was quite good it seems, or so the old man and C thought. Then he played for sometime for us, and then E played for a minute or so, we had some nice talk, he made C play a song or two about some dying cowboy and some guy proposing to a girl and all.. gave her some names and some sheets with music.
And i think, reading those sheets with &!.|.. is quite difficult. It was like looking at binary numbers.

I hope i am not boring you yet.

Then we went to this seaside place, took some more pictures, talked some more, went back to the central station by the subway. I told them we didn't have a subway yet in my "city"... and there came a "oh.. really!", and we went. E thought each city has its own subway culture or something similar, and asked whether i had ever been in one, i said i had been in one in Calcutta, and C asked me how calcutta was.. i told her its very very dirty and never to go there.
We went to a pub inside the station, saw many people supporting liverpool which kicked some useless team's (west brom) butt. I felt sorry for the losing team, i mean how can people feel happy when its a one sided match. i would never cheer unless it was a good fight. I tasted some guinness.. i can't really say whether it was original or not, but i will believe that, thats how it will taste until i goto Dublin.
Then we went to kastrup, found a relatively quite place, talked for sometime, played some games with a paper and a pen, me and C went around the empty airport, took some more pictures, E was really tired, she went to bed. It was funny sleeping in the airport, E and C( now thats funny) had got sleeping bags, and I didn't, but the airport was quite warm, I lay there, some people came to clean the airport with those small golf cart kinda things, didnt disturb me since i was not really asleep, but pissed of E quite a bit i guess. She got up at 5 i think, checked in her bag, bought us a chocolate drink. We said good bye, and thought we will go back to copenhagen and see some more places, since it was dark the previous day. We decided to go to a place where there are some "colorful houses", and after walking for a long time, i figured out where we were on the map, and we went there. Then C said, there is something called "the little mermaid", ya it really was very little.. i was more impressed by the snakes and the lady riding a chariot with bulls...
Then we got lost again, walked and walked and walked... finally came to a river?, i am not really sure whether it was a river, it looked like one, where i saw swans!, i don't remember when was the last time i saw them, maybe never, we walked and walked, I didn't read the map very well, but C said "oh, its ok!, i didn't read it at all!", found the way back again... and by the time we came to the central station, were quite tired and hungry. Saw hard-rock cafe.. well i thought, some place where everyone i knew wanted to go, so we went.. ate a nice brunch.. had some nice time. C liked the music a lot, and even i thought the place was quite cool!, i showed her that there was one of these things in bangalore... it said "Bangalore 2007" in the book on the table.. i think that was the newest addition to the chain, since no other had any dates beside it.
Changed trains in Malmo and we were back in Sparta!
